Nandini Sarkar
As an experimental animator, I’m drawn to the quiet strangeness of everyday life. Overlooked textures, patterns, and gestures that invite deeper noticing. My work explores memory, materiality, transformation, and play. I’m inspired by how objects feel, by the emotional texture of spaces, by children’s books and puppet shows. To retain a sense of participation in the final work, I often begin with sensory experiences or observations, and expand into narratives that blur the line between the familiar and the surreal.
